Our two lovely companions

A wild, wet day, we drove to Spey bay, a huge beach of pebbles. On arrival J spotted the osprey who flew around for a few minutes, no diving action though. The car park was almost full luckily we could only see a few people around. As the rain threatened we ran for the cafe where the food and service was very good. It is operated from the whale and Dolphin conservation building, the two girls in there proved to be knowledgeable, us three ‘girls’ bought a recycled wool blanket each, great value.

We headed to Portnockie to visit an elderly friend of Carols, we have met her a number of times over the last 20 years, quite a character. She was telling us her husband taught French and Russian at Gordonston, not sure how to spell? And onto a favourite bench of C and late husband B. C had placed a pebble in the bench a few days ago, it was still there, I wanted to take it, but didn’t.

Later on a good meal at the Admirals, most enjoyable, we had a game lined up for later on but chatted instead. Can’t beat a good chat.
