Morning Glory Hoverfly

Today has been a bit of a wash-out.

Another flower from the Sea of Blue seed packet which I sowed on our dogs' graves has just come into bloom. It's an ageratum. I used to grow a dwarf version to sell to my plant centre customers. I was hoping to shoot a bug on it but no luck.

A common spotted field syrph visited the amazingly colourful Convolvulus tricolor. This hoverfly's moon-shaped markings give it its scientific name.
