Vesuvius 2

Today is our last full day in Ventimiglia, and we had our final swim, this morning. We might have gone for another one after work, too, except that it was so lovely, swimming through the deep swells out to the buoy and back, that we decided that was a good place to leave it.

And as it was our last evening in Ventimiglia, we decided we'd go down to the new town and eat at Vesuvius 2, which is the restaurant that we've enjoyed the most.

Despite the name, there's only one pizza, the 'Diavolo', that is remotely spicy. In fact, we've not really encountered much spicy food at all.

Today's Blip was taken as we were walking back home after eating, looking up to the old town.

Back up in the town there was a medieval festival taking place, with loads of stalls and people dancing, as well as a couple of plays. It was incredibly lively, and it was a joy just walking around.

We finished up in the square by San Michele Arcangelo, where we watched a play for ten minutes or so. Even though we couldn't understand a word, it was captivating.
