Follow That Car!

If it Sunday, it must be Skye!

Our accommodation in the Isle of Skye was the worst of our trip.  After breakfast we quickly loaded up the cars and set off on a road tour around.

Today’s entry is taken from the windscreen of the hired BMW 118 which is following the Black Cactus FBI. Driven by ‘yours truly’ and following a route planned in advance on Apple Maps. Six stops were included in the journey.

Leading a convoy of two cars required yours to ensure the following car was behind and when overtaking there was enough room to allow the second car to follow the first.

In principal it worked well enough, but sometimes ‘yours truly’ pulled into a lay-by to await the arrival of the Beemer.

We drove around virtually of Skye from North to South and from East to West. Again the scenery was superb, the weather was sunny and we enjoyed fine food.

We did not stop to visit any attractions. They were all very busy and car parking was difficult. Pat had visited various places on the Island and had various guide books.

Back at the hotel, we went in search of better food and decided to head for Ullapool. Apple Maps had found s very narrow side road after I had overshot a junction and we came across the most fabulous little restaurant cafe which served scrumptious food. See extra.
