Friends re-United

Well not exactly as we’ve seen them in London but this was the first visit to Little Slade from Vik’s old friends Andre and Lynette.  And it hardly rained!  We shared cooking but V made a show stopping beef Wellington which is one of his specialities.  I made various ice creams, blackcurrant, gooseberry and raspberry sorbet.  

In the morning i whizzed over to Mum’s for a sherry in the drawing room (really) before leaving her to what looked like a delicious lunch cooked by Thembi her current carer.  

Peaceful time in the garden with them afterwards and Lynette and I picked dahlias for her to take home. 

I did a bit of work in the barn office and we had a light supper and watched Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland.  Which was intense.
