Cycle ride

Men Elite Road Race route map 

Started by riding my own bike to Silverknowes by Craigleith, and back by Granton and the Trinity path. Cloudy, calm, 14C; had ideas about going further but remembered the road race was on, so decided to get back to see it. Found a good spot looking up Queen St Gardens East, where the procession turned left onto Heriot Row. Also found another cyclist and his wife to talk to while we waited.

There were several waves of police motorbike sweepers ahead of the pack, and a lot of cars each with many roof mounted bicycles following afterwards. A substantial logistics exercise.
@SparseRunner got a good shot near the finish in Glasgow. 

Walk later to Pilrig park, and back by the Lyon & Turnbull art auction. One or two things I might like in the prints section. Dry apart from one evening shower, though there were some impressive clouds coming in from the NW.
