This beautiful Penske owned Porsche, piloted by Matt Campbell and Felipe Nasr took the checker just 4.635 seconds ahead of the Number 60 Acura under the control of Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun.

The rain predicted for the day never materialized and we were treated to fantastic racing weather. I said yesterday that if the rain was put off as my weatherman said it would be that I would praise him forever.  THANK YOU DREW BURGOYNE!  YOU'RE THE BEST WEATHERMAN IN THE BUSINESS.

The weather was so nice, the planned flyover by a C17 Globemaster was able to take place and it's a good thing because they flew all the way from McChord AFB in Washington State, home of the 62nd Airlift Wing.  They nailed the flyover perfectly timed to the end of God Bless America being sung by local artist Anton Pietenpol.
