Drive

All three pictures today have been taken by G - from a fast-moving car!

We were up very early for a Sunday. G had an 8:30 appointment with a specialist doctor on the other side of town. We made it on time! The doctor seemed nice enough, except he gave a conflicting opinion. I wonder if we should have gone with the doctor on call last night!

As we have a reliable car with good air-conditioning, I wanted to have a long drive out of the city. We picked the East Coast but were there so early (11:30) we decided to keep driving, heading to RAK on the West Coast. I finally got to drive on the road that connects the two coasts.

The main image is of our "stone" mountains. The first extra is Fossil Rock, which we haven't seen for years(!). The second extra is on a junction which brings us onto the E311 heading South. I can't get over how much plant life thrive on our dunes!

We lunched at Nando's in Al Hamra Mall. I have to say - I do love the flavours in their food. Today, we had chicken with a Mozambique Spice. That and the accompanying Peri Peri sauces were incredible.

We came straight home and crashed out. The weekends finish so soon. :(
