A Beast’s Relicts
…on the grounds of Esrum Kloster (abbey), Nth. Sjælland, Danmark. There is only one building left of what was a large Cistercian abbey in the Middle Ages. But this building has been well preserved over the centuries, e. g. in 1697, under King Christian V., documented over the entrance door, now leading to a historical museum (extras). In modern times, Esrum is (slightly changed to Esrom) mostly known as a cheese name.
