I counted two monarch cats today and how grand to see them together :) I’m hopeful the other four are safe and still with us • We planted the dwarf pussy willow tree that we purchased last month. It replaced the dwarf lilac that we removed after it started to die from the wet soil. Fingers crossed this one is happier • I also added a three foot tall blazing star to the butterfly bed. Fingers crossed for this one too as the dear deer continue to nibble the nearby lantana and echinacea • Two small broccoli heads were harvested • We spent a portion of the afternoon watching the river flow by, as well as numerous boaters and jet-skis. MrsP spotted an osprey and a leaping “Stanley” sturgeon • That about sums up our Saturday! Hope yours has been a pleasant one too • my thoughts are with sunflower • TTFN
