The Coach House

A fine morning, wasn't long until the rain started.  Dry in the afternoon,  showers this evening.

Up early, a delicious breakfast in the hotel.  Some shopping and then set off down the motorway.  Crossed the border into England, minutes later the rain started.  I dislike motorways at the best of times, even more so in heavy rain.  We finally made it to Halifax, where it was dry.  Met the self catering owner, unpacked and headed into town.  Saw some music and shows at the Piece Hall, and a couple of pints when the rain started.  Back to the house for tea, might head out if dry later.

Unpacked and settled in, ready to start a Yorkshire adventure.  This is our accommodation for the next week, a lovely cosy old coach house conversion.  A 10 minute walk into the town centre, yet it has a village feel tucked away on a quiet lane.  Fingers crossed the rain clears, and we can get exploring towns and villages, hills and attractions.   Taken at the Coach House, The Coppice, Halifax, West Yorkshire.
