Saturday: Cucumber and Fennel

Following a very wet night we had a very wet morning, it was overcast all afternoon too - with a threat of rain, I think this is Storm Antoni. Bit brighter and blue sky by evening.

The National Eisteddfod is in Boduan this year, we’ve been watching bits of it on S4C - the brass bands were on earlier, Menai Bridge band was very good and I hope they did well …

I ventured outside a few times between showers. Today’s Blip is of a cucumber plant I “rescued” yesterday from Asda - it needed a good soaking which the rain provided :-)) The fennel plant has also bravely sent flowers out possibly for the first time! - sorry, but I can’t remember :-(

Whilst I was outside I cut some Italian kale to add to our curries and started off some seeds of the same kale which usually does well in my garden.

ADDED LATER: Menai Bridge band came 2nd at the Eisteddfod :-))
