Scary Children's Garden

I ventured over to our library today and enjoy the Children's Garden that runs along the back of the property. It was cold and probably a little early for too many flowers, but I was hoping for a blip opportunity. When I arrived, I was a little glad that the place was empty and I could take my time uninterrupted. I had expected to find children there... hence the name... but decide that the weather had probably kept them away. It's a cute setup with winding paths through trees and flowers. There are many benches and statues made for the smaller set. I enjoyed the creative learning stations and it was obvious that someone had gone to a lot of trouble to make a charming spot for kids to enjoy. It seemed like a great place, until the animals started attacking! The red winged black birds squawked impatiently at me. Realizing that they may have a nest near by, I moved on at a reasonable pace. Or so I thought... until they started to dive bomb me. I felt the air move just above my head several times. Each time one got inches from me it would let out a SQUAWK that would pierce your eardrums! Ok, ok, I'll move faster! The geese in the next section stared me down and approached with wings wide... Man, I'm just not wanted here, but the only way out is through the black bird trees. Ducking and using my camera for protection I made it back to the pond near the entrance. Whew. While regrouping and catching my breath, I spotted this cute little chipmunk on the edge of the pond. All right... a friendly subject. So I shot a few images and bam! The little guy turned straight at me and rushed me! Tail puffed, head up, four feet thumping the ground. He'd stop and then do it again. Clearly this guy has been into it before, check out that battle scarred ear. I decided that it was best not push it with him either and hightailed it out of there.

How do children survive this cute little garden?

Get rushed... if you dare! ;)

Edit: yesterday's weevil bug was 5mm in length, not 5cm. I didn't catch that error until this morning...
