Beans and more beans

I have not been to the allotment for several days because of rain….. However the beans have been growing well. It took me over an hour to pick all that were ready. This is about one sixth of this type that I picked. They are really tasty when fresh, the purple ones loose their colour when cooked.  I also picked enough runner beans for about four meals for four people! So I delivered some beans to two friends as we do not need them all! 
I also dug some more potatoes as they are so delicious when fresh with some butter!

Very chilly this morning so needed a long sleeve T shirt and a jacket. It did get a bit warmer and thankfully no rain all day.
