Out in the Moray Firth
Out in the Moray Firth with the go pro again, this time with a new handle and mount which I got from a well known online retailer (sorry, it's a bit of a habit at the moment, but it is the easiest way to get things here...) which makes it easier to take photos and to swim, with the camera. Here, A (known as Sea Crumpet on our chat....for....reasons....) is contemplating the vastness of the Moray Firth. And looking out for her favourite seal, William, who kept us company today.
We were few in number, as we were due to have a meeting with the local Council ranger afterwards in the Royal Hotel in Tain (to discuss the best way to handle the management of the car park, both in terms of local visitors and camper van users). The hotel was tolerant of a couple of us turning up in dry robes, and they are pretty busy. The car park behind was packed. After the meeting Mr A and I picked up fish and chips. There's another habit.
First thing this morning, we went back to Fraser Brothers the builders' merchant in Alness, and purchased the wood we need for our DIY raised beds. Remarkably good value compared to buying raised bed kits. I thought we were supposed to be doing all of this next week when I am on leave, but in fact Mr A has basically compiled one of the raised beds already. It looks good, although there could be a few small tweaks. He now has to line it, and we should paint it, before we put soil and compost in it (and horse manure, which we also purchased from Fraser Bros this morning, so we enjoyed a fruity smell in the car on the way back).
In between, I worked - quite successfully - and had a few meetings.
