Thalictrum Aquilegifolium

The weather is sunny, warm and settled this week and now the garden is bursting with colour. Though tempted to show yesterday's blue poppy again (fully open), this was today's pick of the blips - its feathery bloom is so soft and graceful - a right bonnie specimen!

Today we spent most of the afternoon clearing out weeds around some gooseberry bushes that we planted in the field a few years ago (before it was ours), then forgot about. They have grown quite a bit but have yet to produce and, before today were completely inaccessible. They may not be in the best spot and there is ground elder growing through them. So, we may have to transplant them elsewhere in a more favourable spot.
