Pelican in flight

I left Puerto Montt (southern Chile) this morning and drove by the sea front as I left - I was lucky enough to catch this pelican (Eng. Peruvian Pelican, Sp. pelicano peruano, Lat. Pelecanus thagus) skimmimg the surface of the Pacific Ocean looking for his (or her) breakfast. Best bit of the day really - seven hours non-stop driving in non-stop rain followed the blip, but I was back in San Martin (Argentina) before dark.
