Tiger Over the Crinum

An Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly floating effortlessly above flowers of a Crinum lily, Crinum asiaticum, aka giant crinum, grand crinum. Also known as 'poison bulb' since all parts of it are toxic to both humans and pets. It's sap can also cause skin irritations. Giant crinum's cousin Crinum americanum or Swamp lily is a Florida native. It's smaller with leaves that are more narrow than the non native Grand crinum.
