Platform 1

We went to Stratford this morning to meet up with Tom and Rachel.  We met at Esquires Cafe near the railway station. Parked up at the station was a classic Pullman train, The Shakespeare Express.  A long train pulled by steam engine.  Apparently the vintage train has a two and a half hour trip from Stratford-upon-Avon including lunch and drinks each Sunday during the summer.  People were being greeted and shown to their seats, whilst through the dining car window I could see some people had started lunch.  All very nice.
See extras for carriages.

I walked the platform towards the engine, Glen Castle, which unfortunately beyond the pedestrian platform access, but managed a shot or two.

Then I returned to the cafe to finish my peppermint tea and have a good natter with T & R.
