A day that ended with a bang

Jaden came to stay so he and Millie could be well acquainted before our weekend away next weekend. It also meant that we weren’t on a tight schedule to get home to feed her etc, so opted to take park and ride to Ellis Park for the Bok, Argentina test.

The first half was good, but the second half definitely lacked luster but the Argentinians held off the Boks who won, but only with a one point lead.

Heading back to find our bus home, Arnie didn’t notice a piece of metal pipe that was sticking out of the pavement, and went down head first into the concrete.

Long story short, our transport was an ambulance to Millpark Hospital where he is being monitored for a possible concussion, and is scheduled to have surgery at 13:00 tomorrow when a plastic surgeon will put him back together again.

He is seriously ticked off as, up until then, we had a great afternoon of banter and laughter with a great bunch of friends.
