Picnic

The new tent did well for its first night and today we set off for another part of the reason for going away, a long training walk.
It was dull with low cloud to begin with and the forecast wasn't brilliant but as we set off from Auch to Loch Lyon it began to brighten up and the cloud lift. By the time we arrived at the loch for our picnic the skies were blue and we found this lovely spot, and no midges as there was quite a breeze.
The walk was along a track with several fords and there were shepherd(s) up the hill collecting in their sheep, we heard one calling to the dogs long before we could see anything.
The return was by the same route but quite different as we could see more and from a different angle. I did a little bit extra to make it up to 15 and a half miles.
Lots of wildflowers including Grass of Parnassus (extra) and loads of yellow saxifrage.
