Installation of Officers

This is "Queen" Sarah and her family. I don't know very much about the organization that they belong to, the Masons and Job's Daughters, but we were invited to attend the installation of the newest "officers" this evening. We know Sarah and her little sister, Rachel, because they attend the same church with their grandparents that we go t. So when Sarah invited us, we definitely wanted to encourage her.

During the installation ceremony a biography of Sarah was spoken. She has been a dancer since she was 4-years-old and she'd like to become a medical doctor when she grows-up. Wow! She is very involved in numerous activities and certainly has some significant goals.

It was very hot today. Earlier in the day, we attended the memorial service for Ron, a friend of ours who we hadn't see in a while. We have known he and his wife Betty since 1985 and it was very good to hear the wonderful stories told about him and to see a video of still photos displayed with some of his favorite music.

Then at home, it was back to the parade of grading student essays. This coming week is the grand finale. So I've got to get these finished.
