K9 Swimming Lesson 101

This afternoon at Funville we were busy making sure our three pooches can find their way out of the pool should they fall in.

Here "Max" is doing his sea otter impersonation. He was the easiest to take into the pool. He's calm, cool, and relaxed. He swam toward the steps every time, stepped up and out, shook off, and trotted away feeling quite refreshed.

The girls were not quite as accurate finding the step (unless I was sitting there coaching them), and they didn't want their picture taken with their fur wet!

The thought of any of them falling into the pool and not being able to get out is quite frightening for me. Some time ago we stretched some plastic construction fencing between the house and the pool, but they can get under it if they really want to. They are almost never in the backyard without us. So I think we're pretty safe.
