Flowers at Eden on ‘Wet Wednesday’.

There were lots of borders of these flowers growing outdoors at Eden today. It was really difficult to get a photo without any people in. Even at 10.30 it was PACKED! When I left an hour and a half later, the crowds were streaming in. Apparently the staff say it’s a ‘wet Wednesday’ because even if it rains all week, Wednesday is the day everyone visits.

The weekly free Eden walks are taking a break until September. I don’t mind because it was just too crowded and can only get busier in August. Ten thousand people were expected to visit today. I saw lots of plants I wanted to photograph but just couldn’t get them without people in!

There was a steady grey drizzle which has now turned into heavy rain. Not a single moment of sun has happened. With the temperature only 15degrees.
