Early morning up

Up at 6 and took this from the terrace of the house on leaving at 7.  I have better from the previous night but rules is rules. I like the bus bar incongruously on the lawn ready for a weekend festival.

I had a chatty driver to York Station which passed the time.    The Grand Central train was a half hour delayed but we made it direct into London in time for my meeting with Amit and Manpreet which seemed to go well.

Amit and I had a chilly lunch outside sitting under heaters, in July!  Of course not approved of and part of the problem but they were on and we were there.
Afternoon in the office but I left for home in order to dovetail at Guildford with V who was driving down from Malton.  It was a mess there because there is engineering work on the line beyond but at least this time they’ve tried to lightly organise it so at least there was some idea of where to meet.

Odd moment as I sat doing a cut, a young teenage girl came up to me and said ‘ Excuse me.  I like your purse and I like your face’.   I was sitting on a bench, watching a cut and must have been scowling in concentration.  She didn’t seem mad and when I said, ‘er, thank you!’ She returned to her friends and they went off chatting.

Home finally around 8 and a simple supper, some unpacking and another ep of 6th Commandment.
