e-books
I got interested in e-books over twenty years ago when a Finnish publishing house released some domestic detective stories. Twelve years ago when I was hospitalized with a broken thighbone, I took along the BeBook reader, one of the earliest e-readers. I could read at night and not disturb the other patient with a light. During the Covid lockdown I could not go to the library nor to the bookstore, but could buy e-books and download them instantly to my computer. I can read at night in bed and I can switch from one book to the other without taking a step.
I wish the lightweight readers had been there for my reader mother who loved to read at night in bed. I am thinking of her.
