One of my daylily growers here was advertising his seedling clump sale this weekend. Since he didn't get as much rain at his location, and there were no road closures in that direction I decided to go and pick up some clumps to use for upcoming jobs. One nice thing about the clumps, most of them are big enough so I can divide them into 2, one for me and one for the customer.
He gardens on the side of a hill and I am sure he is either part mountain goat or one leg is longer than the other, lol. It is a steep climb to get to the top. Once you are at the top it levels out and the view is spectacular. I had the wrong lens on my camera to get a good photo of the view, plus it was hazy over the water. He has a view of an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean.
One of the things he has on the level area is a pond with water lilies, this is one of the pink ones.
Flood waters are starting to recede in places. As of 11 am this morning the main highway to the valley was open and the main highway along the south shore still has one section closed. We have to change the restaurant that was booked for brunch next Sunday because it was flooded and it will be closed for at least a week, if not longer while they clean it up.
