Cape Blomidon, taken from Evangeline Beach
Another hot and sticky day. It was 24 C at 5 am when A drove the landlord to the airport. This afternoon the temperature was 33 C. And with the humidity if felt much warmer.
I stopped at Miners Marsh this morning but didn't spend much time there. Most of the birds were sheltering in the trees or close to the cat tails. The water in the marsh is really low this year, and I suspect that if we do not get any rain soon, it will be almost dry by mid-August.
Stopped at a couple of the garden centers to get a few plants that I need for jobs this week. Plus a bakery for some treats and one of the farm markets for some fresh local produce.
The last stop was at Evangeline Beach. When I got out of the truck, it was like getting into an oven. But 10 feet away you could catch the breeze off the water and it felt much nicer.
One of my cousins has over 300 daylilies in her garden. She was having an open garden today. I thought about stopping, but watching the temperature on the truck go from 32 - 34 C, I decided to stay in the air conditioned truck and come home early.
