Grand Finale

Shopping week ended with a wonderful firework display from Copland’s dock opposite my bedroom window. This was very handy since it was well past my bedtime.
The street sweepers and stall holders were out early this morning cleaning the port area of any evidence of the high jinks of last week.

It was a much choppier sea today and felt cold too. We were really lucky yesterday. One of the Selkies got badly stung by a jellyfish multiple times down one side of her body this morning and despite the handy antihistamine she applied and took she is still suffering and probably will for the next 12 hours. Nasty little brutes the jellies.

I am going out tonight to Dounby for a meal with IainatCreel and the present Mrs Creel who has obviously chosen to ignore last night’s  indiscretion with the dusky maiden off the float. It will be a fun night if the previous get togethers are anything to go by and much nonsense will be spoken.
