Sculpture in Cirencester

Walking around the town and parks we were amazed by all the sculpture that was around.

We walked up the path in Cirencester Park and saw what we thought was a tree at the brow of the hill (blip 1).  What it turned out to be was this wonderful sculpture by Nic Fiddian - "Still Water 2019".

Another in the Market Square was this one by Sophie Ryder - "Dog and Hare", and another sculpture reflecting the wealth that the wood trade developed for the town in the Wool Market.

Finally, in the Abbey Park was this carved wooden statue representing an Abbot and Canon.  Apparently the Abbot is discussion plans with one of his canons for an extension to the Abbey or work to the Parish Church.

Later, googline sculpture and Cirencester, we we discovered that there are even more sculptures!
