First sight

After staying last night in Mangawhai with Jeff, the three of us went further north to Whangarei this morning. Where we met up with S' younger brother and his wife. S had arranged a time for us to have a visit to the Hundertwasser museum/gallery, and then booked us in a restaurant for lunch.

Hundertwasser lived in New Zealand between the early 1970s and 2000. He left NZ to travel to Europe by passenger ship. A small town further north than Whangarei (Kawakawa) has a public toilet block which he designed. The exhibition includes letters, submissions, drawings, paintings and plans (without details, as they weren't accepted.

It was great way to spend a weekend morning, the lunch was superb and we have returned home.

(I posted my blip for yesterday about 45 mins ago)
