Dreams Come True

Our future daughter-in-law is a marine biologist, but passionate about all animals, and her birthday wish over the years has been to have ponies at her parties - today her dream came true. They were wearing bridal veils and tiaras, and hats because one of the Portuguese phrases she's learnt is "cavalos vestem chapéus".

In extra, it's a strange feeling seeing a tattoo of your son being applied to a girl's face! The poor girl had another one applied every time she answered a question differently to how Paul had answered it when Deb had videoed him. Tonight, she is out to a restaurant in the Mailbox with his face all over her, plus a pink T-shirt covered with it.

Julia, Eden and I came back before the meal to our Airbnb, to get an earlier night - there's still another day to party!

Gratefuls:
- Eden and Allegra (granddaughter in main photo) being absolute stars all day
- Gill being a hero and giving us lifts; it rained most of the day
- finding out a lot more about Felicity and her family, and liking it all; happy for my boy
