Medieval statues

My builder friend next door has just been awarded his doctorate for his thesis on influences in the medieval Catalan church architecture of this area. He wanted some photos of the church in Fuilla and asked if I could take some shots with my good camera. I searched out my low light lens and we went along to record various architectural features. He will use these in a paper he is writing for publication. The church contains a very interesting collection of medieval statues dating from the 13th century. I am surprised they are on open display given their historical importance. They were only found fairly recently when some restoration work was being done; a wall was knocked down and they were found behind it.
