Yuck or Ouch

This is a Dark Arches moth... I originally thought the unlucky moth had a little parasitic hitch-hiker, possibly from the Trombidiidae, a type of mite or tick, but other opinions suggest that it might have just been traumatised and lost the scales from its head. Either way it looked interesting.
