There are two women and two story lines, one set in World War 1 and the other in the immediate aftermath of World War 2. Inevitably connections between the two begin to emerge. It’s a gripping story, a real page turner and perfect for those who, like me, like to learn history through fiction. Kate Quinn is an historian as well as a skilful story teller. I can’t wait to see how she brings all the threads together at the end.
