Red Shrine

This is a stunning shrine complex, a 4km pathway up the mountain lined with thousands of red tori. The walk around the upper precincts of the shrine is a pleasant day hike. It also makes for a very eerie stroll in the evening, when the varies graveyards and the miniature shrines along the path take on a mysterious air.
