Piezodorus lituratus
This solitary Gorse Shield Bug (Piezodorus lituratus) was one of the insects braving the high winds on Memorial Common this afternoon, which we saw on a Summer Butterfly Walk organised by the Chailey Commons Society.
Also in evidence (see today's 'Extras') were a White-Legged Damselfly (Platycnemis pennipes) and a number of actual Butterflies, including this Gatekeeper (Pyronia tithonus).
