Burrator Arboretum

This morning we drove up to Burrator on the edge of Dartmoor. Very windy  but fortunately warm and no appreciable rain, after yesterday's deluge. It was good today to see so many young people and young families enjoying the great outdoors. This wild-looking area is within the arboretum The trees here include birch, alder and goat willow. The arbouretum is ideal for families with young children and people with mobility problems. The area is traversed by good paths and boardwalks which makes it accessible to people who might find it difficult to explore other areas of the moor.
