Fuschia. Little sign of life, so deadwood pruned.

Our large 35 year old fuschia was hit badly with frost and late spring snow. I left it until now to see what may happens, practicing a wait-and-see approach. But we’re into
summer, no change, so it was time to prune the deadwood. It’s really now only sprouting at the base, hopefully it’ll recover. We’ve always loved this plant. It really dominated the spot.

I also tied back a new clematis and honeysuckle; both are looking healthy. Very showery.

The Virgin Media man came to reconnect our landline. The old copper wire connection worked here for decades. In early July we were transferred to an internet “line” (the future); within a few days it stopped working. I’m sure it’ll be ok now.

Virgin Media also occupied a bit of the afternoon. New contract agreed; I’m satisfied with plan for next 18 months. Glad it’s done. Also agreed an insurance policy quote. Life admin eh?
