A slight let up in the heat but still very warm. Worse to come next week. Rain fell briefly on high mountains but not on us.

Extra is a campsis radicals trumpet vine much loved by these ants going mad for emerging nectar. Also called cow-itch vine. Maybe it was this raised the welt on my arm earlier in the week rather than the hop bine. They grow intertwined.
