One of the many puffins we saw on our trip to the Isle of May today. This one didn't seem the least perturbed by the human visitors and posed for a good few minutes until a gull chased him away. 

Our journey over was more adventurous than anticipated as I'd booked us on the Osprey Rib rather than the boat !  It was a great experience - it's was interesting being closer to the water and our skipper was very knowledgeable and took us around most of the island. The waterproofs provided kept us dry on the crossing at least - we got rather wet on the island itself but still enjoyed walking around and seeing all the birds. 

We arrived back before the boat and headed straight to Anstruther Fish & Chip shop for a fish supper and very tasty it was too. 

Earlier in the day we visited the Scottish Fisheries Museum - very interesting with lots to see.
