Discovery

A day of wandering and exploring by foot from our holiday abode. We’ve discovered more local history, stared at sea views and boats, and enjoyed walking through clouds of butterflies and moths (they are hugely abundant in the grass meadows here).

This plant is sea lavender. It’s not related to other lavenders but has some obvious visual similarities. We’ve spotted it quite frequently in the salt marshes here. It is, I think, quite common in this habitat but a first time sighting for me.

A slightly cooler day with a breeze has been something of a relief.
