Toadlet And Two-banded Spearhorn

I left Mishka in the garden and walked around our nursery paths with the shears trimming back brambles and nettles which were encroaching on them. I found this dear little toadlet all on its own. I also found a red admiral fluttering on the ground. Its wings hadn't developed properly, poor thing.

This afternoon I spotted a two-banded spearhorn hoverfly. Great to photograph an insect that I haven't seen before.

This evening Thames Water arrived to unblock the sewer. The guy said he doesn't think it will block again. We'll see.
