Among the Acers

Basil had his haircut this morning. Afterwards we drove to Dobbies at Rothley because I had a voucher for tea and cake for two for my birthday. As we drove down the A6 the heavens opened with a torrent of rain. Good thing we had Macs.

The chips were hot and cut to a good size. The toffee meringue was decadent.

I spotted this Buddha head amongst a collection of potted acers, leaves just beginning to turn autumnal red.

Finished some leftovers in the fridge to make stuffed peppers for tea. Len is never impressed with peppers but I feel we need to increase our vegetable intake.
