Yucca
Today's the day ........................ for the crowning glory
It wasn't long after Will finished doing a bit of landscaping at the far end of the garden, that we noticed the yucca plant was in the process of sending up a flower spike.
This is always a source of huge excitement because it means that a) the yucca has come of age (young plants never flower until they are at least three years old) - and b) you are going to be treated to the most exotic proliferation of flowers that it's possible to have on one plant. In actual fact because last winter really took its toll on quite a few big plants, we wondered if this one would make it at all? But it's obviously made of stronger stuff.
And we're delighted to see it in all its glory, adding a touch of the exotic to the garden ........................
