Making do

I got up early this morning, in the hope that there would be some decent bird photography conditions, after last night's heavy rain.  In the event it was still very overcast so I went back to bed(!) 

Things brightened up somewhat this morning but I think we've more rain due later on.  In the meantime here's a shot of the large white butterfly.  We've several of them at the moment and it's probably our most common butterfly. Its a little bit damaged as you can see from the wings, but it makes a nice composition.
