An ugly duckling...?

Another day, another gala- this time three of us went down to Renfrew to see the gala which was based in the Robertson Park. Just as we went in we saw this family of swans calmly swimming and going about their business ignoring all the bizz around them. It's the first time I have seen cygnets so close and now fully understand the old Danny Kaye song.

The parade was led by the local pipe band followed by cadets and other local groups. The sun shone and there were lots of charity stalls, a climbing wall and a display of historic fire engines. The park really looked at its best.
