Building background "The building dates back to the late 17th century or early 18th century, and is the only, much altered, survivor from the milling past of Canonmills. Converted in 1987 into open-plan offices above the ground floor shops." Now being refurbished again, with substantial excavation done on the ground to the North; a very awkward site for building. 

Sunny morning; we should have gone out to walk earlier; as it was we were caught in a heavy shower when we were nearly back. Complete change of clothes required ..
