The Old Gaffers Festival

Firstly a big thank you to all who commented, gave stars and favorited yesterdays 'Round the Island Race' you hoisted it into the spotlight. Thanks again.

More sailing today as over the weekend the harbour town of Yarmouth has been hosting the annual Old gaffers festival. As well as the dozens of boats all decked out with colourful flags the whole town has a carnival atmosphere with market stalls,marching bands, Vintage cars and street performers to name but a few of the attractions. I highly recommend a visit should you be in the area next year.

Out at sea there are several races for the old traditional craft and even though the winds were much lighter than yesterday there was some close racing in the Gaffers class.
