July 10

The dogwoods are the showoffs in the gardens now. I took a couple of photos of a dogwood in one of the gardens I worked on today, then this afternoon I toured a couple of Dartmouth Horticultural Society members for their garden tour. This tree was actually across the street from one of them and I had conveniently parked my truck beside it.
One of the members who had her garden on the tour today is the program chair. I haven't been involved in the group since before covid. I continue to pay my membership because some nurseries offer a discount to members. In the past couple of years there has been a lot of new people join the group, so I don't know them, and they don't know me. Anyways, when I started taking some photos, the program chair was 'Oh, you take photos of flowers and gardens, I want to have a program in the fall on taking photos of your garden' I didn't give her a yes or no answer, but I did tell her that I don't do a lot of public speaking. I will have to wait and see if she contacts me. I was able to escape when a couple more people showed up.
